The Department of Pali & Prakrit was established in 2008-09. Presently, it has been conducting the graduate course (B.A. & B.Com.). There are one full time faculty members working in the department. This department has been organizing many co-curricular activities for students like Pali Competitive objective test, Meditation for students and staff, Bhasha Aabyhas Mandal, Pali day, Annagarik Dhammapal Jayanti, Buddha Pornima, etc.The faculty of Department actively participates in the extension services in college such as, Seminars and oral Exam. The Philosophic principles laid in Pali literature are ever guiding to the human role since the origin of Lord Buddha. A part from teaching, all the faculty members of the department are actively involved in research and development.
